Nancy Klein

My creative process is a collaboration of mixed media and materials that include pastels, acrylic, and textiles. I do not know where the result of my work comes from, I know it starts with my hands, my eyes, and my emotions. I draw from the striking beauty of nature and the story that evolves through color and texture.
I studied with accomplished artisans, learning the technique of faux finishing at an early age. I went on to pursue continued art education at the California College of the Arts in Oakland, the Art Institute in Southern California, and private class studies figure and landscape drawing. I enjoy painting on various surfaces. Interior design and creative organic environments have also been an inviting journey of the expression for me
